  • State Energy Program (SEP) and Energy Efficiency Programs: The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs offers funding and technical assistance to enhance energy security and advance state-led energy initiatives. For fiscal year 2025, SEP has allocated at least $745,000 for energy-efficient retrofits, with individual awards ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. Eligible applicants include local governments, public K-12 school systems, and non-profit organizations. Projects may involve energy-efficient lighting, HVAC replacements, programmable thermostats, and photovoltaic systems. READ MORE →
  • Dispersed Power Production Program: TVA did not renew their Green Power Providers program after 2019, but they still offer some financial incentives for renewable generation.
