Generation 180 is forming teams of volunteers in communities throughout the country. We are looking for passionate people to get involved in creating a team that will advance clean energy and spread energy awareness in their communities. Generation 180 empowers volunteer teams to be effective in their communities with training and ongoing support.

Volunteer Team Activities

Our volunteer teams engage in high-visibility, community-level projects that advance clean energy and spread Energy Awareness throughout their communities.

Generation 180 teams are currently focused on helping local K-12 schools go solar.  Equipped with the resources from Generation 180's Solar Schools campaignvolunteer teams are influencing  school district leaders and rallying community support for solar.

Solar schools can leverage onsite technology to engage and educate students about clean energy and model to the rest of the community the beneftis of going solar.

While thousands of schools across the country are saving money on electric bills, educating students about clean energy, and ensuring a brighter future for the next generation by going solar, there are over one hundred thousand more that could be taking advantage of these same benefits.

Monthly Webinar

Every month our volunteer teams join this webinar to learn from guest experts, share recent challenges and successes, and take action. Volunteer teams will meet to listen to the webinar and continue their local meetings after the webinar. If you are considering volunteering for Generation 180, we encourage you to tune in and learn more about how our volunteer teams are shifting their communities towards clean energy!

Speaker: Susan Klees

Campaign Director, Keep It Cool

Generation 180 will be kicking off its Keep It Cool campaign and training volunteer teams on how to get involved. The Keep It Cool campaign empowers people to encourage retailers to stop the energy waste caused by storefront doors staying open while the air conditioning is running on hot summer days. Learn how you can help by tagging local stores, distributing flyers, writing letters to your local media and promoting the campaign in your community.
